Many people are worried about getting the vaccine due to possible costs. However, the vaccine is free for those who live and work in Hudson County. If you do end up with a bill, it will be for seeing the doctor, not for the vaccine itself.
The COVID-19 vaccines are free to the public under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, signed into law in March 2020, as well as a patchwork of other laws.
If you are covered under Medicare or Medicaid, your vaccine will be paid for by Medicare’s trust fund.
For Medicare beneficiaries, the vaccine is covered under Medicare Part B.
