With the state eyeing a potentially contagious variant of the coronavirus, New Jersey health officials this week will knock on doors in six Shore-area towns where residents have been slower to get vaccinated, Gov. Phil Murphy said Monday.

The outreach will join other grassroots programs that experts hope will deliver a message that will connect with people who have been hesitant to get the shot.
